Testing Service
Heavy Metals (ICP-MS)
Optional heavy-metal analysis for research samples. Ordered as its own test (one order = one sample).
What this test measures
When you order Heavy Metals (ICP-MS), the laboratory measures heavy-metal content in your submitted research sample using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) within the ordered heavy-metal scope. Results report elemental findings for the included measurement scope — not peptide identity, chromatographic purity, net peptide content, or overall sample safety. Results apply to the submitted sample only — not other vials, lots, suppliers, or future production.
What you receive
A Certificate of Analysis delivered electronically when testing is complete and results are released. Heavy-metal results appear for the ordered measurement scope on that report.
Testing methodology
This service uses ICP-MS for heavy-metal analysis within the laboratory's supported heavy-metal measurement scope. It may be ordered as a standalone test (one order = one sample) or added to Peptide Analysis or Peptide Blend Analysis for the same physical sample during checkout when compatibility is offered. Add-on pricing is additive and does not replace the base peptide analysis.
Sample requirements
Exact quantity depends on the ordered service and sample type. After payment, VialTests provides submission instructions for your order.
Process
- Order this test online
- Receive Order ID and mailing instructions after payment
- Place required paperwork inside the package with your sample
- Receive your Certificate of Analysis electronically
Important limitations
Results are limited to the heavy-metal elements included in the ordered method and do not represent a complete elemental or contaminant screen. Low measured heavy-metal values do not establish that a sample is free of other impurities, suitable for administration, or safe for any use beyond the reported scope.
