FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about ordering, shipping your sample, and receiving results.
What does VialTests do?
VialTests is a laboratory peptide testing service. You choose a test, complete checkout, submit your sample with the provided instructions, and receive an electronic Certificate of Analysis when results are released.
How does my sample get tested?
Once your sample is received and intake is confirmed, it's analyzed in our laboratory using the method for your ordered service — commonly HPLC-MS/MS for peptide analysis. Results are then compiled into your electronic Certificate of Analysis.
What does the test actually check for?
Core peptide analysis can include identity confirmation, purity assessment, and net peptide content. Optional add-ons — heavy-metal analysis (ICP-MS) and bacterial endotoxin testing (LAL) — are available when ordered separately.
What methods or equipment do you use?
Core peptide analysis is performed by HPLC-MS/MS. Optional add-on testing uses ICP-MS for heavy metals and kinetic chromogenic LAL for bacterial endotoxin, when those services are ordered.
Where is my sample tested?
Testing is performed at our laboratory in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada.
What peptides do you test?
We accept peptide samples for analysis across our published testing services, including single-peptide and blend samples. To view our list, click here.
Do I need an account to order?
No. Guest checkout is supported. After payment you receive order access instructions. An optional account portal is available if you want to claim and manage orders, but it is not required to place an order.
How does ordering work?
Browse the testing catalog, select a service, provide required sample information, and pay online with card (Stripe Checkout). Prices shown in the catalog are authoritative CAD amounts for active services.
What happens after I pay?
You receive a public Order ID, a printable Sample Submission Sheet, and mailing instructions for your sample. Keep your confirmation email and order access details secure.
Where do I ship my sample?
The sample shipping destination is provided only after payment is confirmed. It is not published on marketing pages. Follow the instructions on your paid order page and include the Submission Sheet with the sample. Tracked shipping is strongly recommended.
Do you accept local drop-off?
Yes, we do accept local drop-off at our receiving center. Local drop-off is available Monday–Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. After you place your order, both shipping instructions and local drop-off instructions are emailed to you and available in your customer portal. For any questions, please feel free to send us an email at hello@vialtests.com or give us a call at 1-877-574-2333.
What should I put on the outside of the package?
Keep ordinary courier details on the exterior only. Do not put VialTests, Order IDs, or other testing details on the exterior. Place the printed Submission Sheet or written order details on a piece of paper inside the package with your sample. Detailed shipping instructions are provided after payment.
Should I add a tracking number after I ship?
Yes. Protect your submission by using tracked shipping whenever possible, then add your tracking number on your authorized VialTests order page or Customer Portal. Carrier "Delivered" status is not the same as VialTests "Sample Received." Sample Received means VialTests has confirmed intake of your sample. See our Refund Policy for inbound shipping responsibility details.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds may be available for cancellations before testing begins and in certain cases where a submitted sample cannot be tested as ordered. Inbound sample shipping remains your responsibility until VialTests confirms Sample Received. Carrier “Delivered” status is not the same as Sample Received. See our Refund Policy for full terms.
How long do results take?
Standard turnaround is typically about 5–10 business days after the sample is received and recorded. Timing can vary by service and laboratory workload. VialTests does not treat turnaround as an unconditional guarantee for every specialized analysis.
How do I receive my Certificate of Analysis?
Results are delivered electronically when the COA is released. You are notified by email and can open the report through your authorized order access pathway. Results are not physically mailed.
What does the Certificate of Analysis include?
Your electronic COA covers identity confirmation, purity assessment, and net peptide content from the core HPLC-MS/MS analysis, along with a unique Report Number and QR code for online verification. If you ordered heavy-metal (ICP-MS) or bacterial endotoxin (LAL) testing, those results are included as well.
Do you accept samples from across Canada?
Yes. Our laboratory is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, and we accept samples shipped from anywhere in Canada. Mailing instructions are provided after your order is confirmed.
Can someone else access my order with just the Order ID?
No. A public Order ID alone is not authorization. Access requires the guest access pathway from your confirmation flow or an authorized customer session for claimed orders.
How is my privacy protected?
Your samples and results are kept confidential. Order access is authorization-based — a public Order ID alone does not unlock your results — and VialTests does not share your test results or personal information with third parties, including the vendor associated with your sample.
Is this a clinical or diagnostic service?
No. Testing is for research use only — not for human or veterinary administration, and not a clinical or diagnostic service.
How can I contact support?
Email hello@vialtests.com or call 1-877-574-2333. Include your Order ID when asking about an existing order.
