Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how VialTests (“VialTests,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on VialTests.com, and how you can manage optional cookies through Cookie Preferences.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. It does not replace that Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They may be necessary for the site to function, or used to remember preferences and support measurement.

VialTests stores only the minimum information needed for the purposes described below. Cookie Preferences do not store your name, email address, phone number, order details, or laboratory results.

2. Essential cookies

Essential cookies support core website functionality, security, session management, fraud prevention, and related operational needs. They remain active and cannot be disabled through Cookie Preferences.

In current production, essential and operational cookies may include those used for authorized guest order access, optional customer portal sessions, and Affiliate Program referral attribution (a signed referral cookie that may persist for up to thirty days when a visitor uses a valid referral link).

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies are optional and are off by default in Cookie Preferences.

VialTests may use first-party website analytics provided by its hosting platform to understand aggregate site reliability and traffic. VialTests does not currently load a separate third-party analytics product (such as Google Analytics) through Cookie Preferences.

If you enable Analytics cookies, VialTests records that preference so it can be honored if first-party analytics configuration expands later. Enabling Analytics cookies does not, by itself, activate Meta advertising measurement.

4. Advertising cookies (optional)

Advertising cookies are optional and are off by default.

When advertising measurement is enabled by VialTests configuration, a Meta Pixel may load only after you affirmatively allow Advertising cookies (Accept All, or Preferences with Advertising enabled). Measurement is limited to selected public marketing pages.

The Meta Pixel is not loaded on checkout, payment, private order, Client Portal, Affiliate Portal, laboratory, internal administrative, or Certificate of Analysis verification pages.

VialTests does not intentionally configure the Meta Pixel to send customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, hashed contact identifiers, peptide or analyte names, purchased testing-service details, laboratory results, Certificates of Analysis, verification tokens, order line items, free-form customer notes, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, or private portal information.

Automatic advanced matching and unrestricted product-metadata sharing are not used for this integration. Meta Purchase conversion events remain separately controlled and are not enabled solely by accepting Advertising cookies.

5. Managing Cookie Preferences

On public website pages, VialTests may display a compact cookie notice. You can Accept All, Reject All, or open Preferences to choose optional categories.

Closing the notice without choosing does not record affirmative consent and does not initialize Meta Pixel measurement.

You can reopen Cookie Preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer, whether you previously accepted, rejected, or dismissed the notice.

Rejecting Advertising cookies (or withdrawing them later) sets Meta marketing consent to denied. While denied or absent, VialTests does not initialize or emit further Meta Pixel events, and where withdrawal is recorded as denied VialTests attempts to clear first-party Meta cookies set on vialtests.com (such as _fbp).

Withdrawal does not unload a third-party script that may already be in browser memory, does not delete cookies controlled solely by Meta on Meta-owned domains, and does not recall or delete events Meta has already received.

VialTests does not fabricate consent or treat silence as permission to measure.

6. Retention

Marketing-consent and Cookie Preferences cookies use a first-party Max-Age consistent with VialTests marketing-consent retention (approximately 180 days) unless cleared earlier by you or by browser settings.

Session-only dismissal of the cookie notice (using the close control) lasts for the current browser session and does not create an advertising consent record.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies or this Policy may be sent using the contact details in our Privacy Policy.
